Full certificates can be obtained from the ACR (Adopted Children Register) by an adoptee , or anyone else. They have details of child (under their adopted name) , the adoptive parents and the court authorising the adoption, but don't provide any link back to the original birth register entry.

Surely that is what the 'Adoption Certificate' is? An adoption certificate is like a full birth certificate but without giving full details of birth place nor name of birth parent.

It is the "adoption certificate" - however it was normal for an adopted child to only be given the "short" version , as that doesn't mention adoption anywhere on it ( the full copy does). But the full certificate is always available to anyone who wants it.
