Genealogy in the Sunshine 2015
I have been looking at the books for Tipperary where my ancestors come from and, in the famine years, I have a number of properties where the records have been overwritten with the word "Down." Does anyone know if this means that the buildings have been destroyed (tumbled)?

The 1850 Griffiths valuation also has the observation "Down - valuation struck out." Does this mean the same?
