Use this link for free census information on the UK and some parts of Scotland. Familysearch & Ancestry give you enough to arouse your interest but Freecen gives you access to all the information. Some areas are not yet listed or finished, they are still working on getting it all together.

Scotland is currently still part of the UK :) . I think you meant "Use this link for free census information for some parts of England, Scotland & Wales". As not all parts of England or Wales are covered either.
 
Yes I haven't forgotten. The term was used for the reason that some genealogy web sites have Scotland listed separately.
 
No problem it was a tongue in cheek reply. The wording was just a bit odd suggesting that Scotland was separate from the UK (it might be after the referendum next year but that's a different matter). FreeCen's coverage of Scotland is actually really good a higher percentage of entries have been transcribed the last time I looked than for England.
 
Crucially, for freebmd, freecen and freereg look at the coverage pages so that you know the facts and don't search for something which is not there yet. :oops: For example, on FreeCen, the census transcription percentage for Devon currently varies from Nil (1871 & 1881) through 2.9% (1851), 31.2% (1841), 99.3% (1861) and 100% (1891).
