If you're giving the software to someone else, that's all you need to give them: their unique activation code and the web page for instructions ("www.family-historian.co.uk/install7"). How to Give a Person their Family Tree
If the present is for a family member, why not give them a copy of their family tree too? One way to do that is to open the relevant project in Family Historian and on the File menu choose the option to export a GEDZIP file. Give them a copy of this GEDZIP file - perhaps on a memory stick. To view the family tree, they will just need to create a new project and import the GEDZIP file into that.
