I will try to add a link to a site I have found recently, more useful for Victoria, but snippets for other states. It is particularly useful at the moment while the Victoria bdm site is out of action, and in addition it tells you where a birth, death (limited) or marriage (limited) is registered. Gives death dates in the probate section.
