Many thanks, Britjan. It will be interesting to compare the process in Canada with that in other countries, e.g. my adopted country of Finland. Women in Australia in NZ were the first to win the right to vote worldwide, but women in Finland were the first in Europe and the first, anywhere in the world, to be able to stand as candidates in elections. The first ladies entered parliament in 1907. Voting
